Sara Breig, Supervised Intern
MEET SARA…
Hi, I’m Sara. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Martin Luther University. I hold an Honours Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Leadership, specialized certification in Autism, and bring valuable experience working within the school system as an Educational Assistant supporting children with diverse needs.
My passion for supporting children, youth, adults, couples, and families has been shaped through both my academic training and extensive hands-on experience. I am committed to creating a compassionate, grounded space where clients feel safe to explore their emotions, experiences, and personal growth.
I believe therapy doesn’t require having everything figured out. Healing begins by showing up exactly as you are.
How I Work
My approach is holistic, person-centered, and rooted in authenticity. I integrate evidence-based practices with spiritual exploration and creative modalities, recognizing the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit in the healing process.
Drawing from traditional talk therapy, while incorporating play-based, art-based, and expressive approaches, I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual, couple, or family. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to move toward meaningful and lasting change.
Areas of Focus
• Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
• Trauma and the impact of past experiences
• Autism and neurodivergence
• Child and adolescent development
• Identity exploration and life transitions
• Relationship challenges, couples therapy, and emotional connection
• Spirituality, meaning-making, and personal growth
For Children & Teens
With my background in early childhood education, autism specialization, and experience within educational settings, I offer a developmentally informed and compassionate approach to supporting children and adolescents.
Using play-based, creative, and expressive modalities, I help young clients process emotions, develop coping strategies, and build resilience in ways that feel natural, engaging, and supportive. I am passionate about creating spaces where children and teens feel seen, understood, and empowered.
For Individuals & Couples
I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Together, we explore patterns, strengthen communication, deepen emotional insight, and develop tools that foster healthier relationships and greater well-being.
My work supports clients in building stronger connections—with themselves and with those around them.
Spiritual Integration
For clients who desire it, I offer spiritually integrated therapy that explores meaning, purpose, values, and connection as part of the healing journey.
This may include exploring personal beliefs, spiritual questions, or inner strengths in ways that foster deeper grounding, healing, and alignment.
If you’re seeking a therapist who offers warmth, creativity, and a holistic, spiritually integrated approach, I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you navigate healing, growth, and deeper connection while I complete my internship for Registered Psychotherapist.
