MEET KRISTINA…
Hi, I’m Kristina. My passion for supporting others on their healing journey, combined with my belief in the transformative power of personal growth, led me to pursue a career in psychotherapy. I take a holistic, person-centered approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs and lived experiences.
How I Work
My approach integrates traditional talk therapy with somatic and non-verbal techniques, including art and sand therapy. These modalities support clients in accessing healing beyond thinking patterns, especially when words aren’t enough. I strive to create a warm, affirming, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and identities. My goal is for every person I work with to feel heard, valued, and equipped with tools to create meaningful change in their lives.
Areas of Focus
• Anxiety, ADHD, autism, and OCD
• Adolescent development and identity exploration
• Grief, loss, and emotional dysregulation
• Life transitions and relational challenges
• LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and self-acceptance
• Spiritual abuse, purity culture, and church-related trauma
• Intellectual and developmental disabilities, including non-verbal clients
For Adolescents
I work with teens navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism, OCD, identity exploration, grief, and emotional regulation. Many of the young people I see are working to understand themselves in a world that often feels overwhelming or invalidating.
Using creative, non-verbal approaches such as art, sand tray, and somatic tools, I help adolescents access their inner strengths and build practical coping strategies.
For Adults
With adults, my work often focuses on life transitions, relationship challenges, and the impact of past experiences. I support clients in unpacking patterns, healing from trauma, and learning how to show up more authentically in their relationships and daily lives.
Together, we explore what’s beneath the surface while building skills for grounding, resilience, and self-compassion.
Spiritual Hurt Therapy
One of my deepest areas of passion is supporting clients who have experienced pain within religious or spiritual settings. This includes those unpacking purity culture, going through deconstruction, or wrestling with their beliefs. I provide a compassionate, affirming space to process spiritual abuse, church hurt, and the loss of belonging that can accompany these experiences. Here, clients can explore questions of faith, identity, and community without judgment, finding room to heal and redefine what spirituality, safety, and connection mean for them.
I also specialize in working with adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including non-verbal clients. By drawing on art, sand, and somatic tools, I offer therapeutic pathways that honour strengths and bypass the limitations of language. This work creates meaningful opportunities for expression, regulation, and growth.
