ELDER SUPPORT & LEGACY WORK

Because aging deserves more than just care—it deserves compassion, dignity, and meaning.

Honouring the Lives We've Lived Aging is not simply a passage of time—it’s a journey of identity, loss, growth, and reflection. At CLARITY, we offer therapeutic support that meets older adults with the depth, respect, and attunement their life experiences deserve. Whether you or a loved one is navigating grief, chronic illness, caregiver strain, or the emotional complexities of aging, we are here to walk alongside you.

Therapy for Elders: More Than Just Talk We recognize the unique challenges faced in later life: the changing roles, the loss of independence, the grief of saying goodbye to friends, mobility, or long-held identities. Our approach is warm, relational, and grounded in decades of experience supporting elders in hospitals, homes, and private practice. Through gentle exploration and compassionate reflection, therapy can help reconnect you to who you are—not just who you used to be.

Legacy Work & Life Review

In the later chapters of life, we often begin to ask deeper questions: What has my life meant? What do I want to leave behind? Through legacy work, we help elders explore these questions with intention. Using guided conversation, art, writing, and reflection, we support clients in capturing the essence of their story—not just for others, but for themselves.

Lynn Albrecht, a Therapist who walks the path too, brings over two decades of experience as an elder care specialist—as well as, the wisdom of being an elder herself. Lynn understands both the systems and the soul work of aging. She helps clients and their families navigate hospital discharges, consent and capacity decisions, Power of Attorney questions, and long-term care options with clarity and care.

As we age, a common belief is “I don’t know who I am anymore”. Lynn is committed to sit with people in that place, not with answers, but with deep listening, patience, and a belief in their ability to reconnect with meaning, identity, and hope.

Support for Caregivers:

You Don't Have to Do This Alone Caring for an aging parent or partner can bring up complex emotions—guilt, overwhelm, sadness, and even resentment. We support caregivers in navigating difficult decisions, family dynamics, and burnout. Whether you're unsure how to talk to your siblings about long-term care or you're feeling stretched beyond your limits, we offer space to process, plan, and heal.

Groups & Community Resources (Coming Soon)

In addition to individual therapy, CLARITY is developing group programs for caregivers and aging adults. From grief and loss support to legal education and advocacy workshops, these offerings aim to build connection and ease the burden of navigating this stage of life alone.

Next Steps If you or a loved one is navigating aging, caregiving, or the emotional complexities of this season, we invite you to connect. You can book a free 15-minute Meet & Greet with Lynn to learn more. Sometimes the most powerful step is simply beginning the conversation.

You're not alone. And you don't have to carry it all by yourself.
