MEET JULIA…
I am a dedicated play therapist and parent coach with over 25 years of experience working with children and families. Passionate about growth and healing, I bring a spiritual perspective to my work, seeing and honouring each person’s authentic self with compassion, understanding, and unconditional positive regard. My personal life lessons, specialized training, and extensive experience equip me to support all members of the family on their unique journeys.
How I Work
I believe that talking isn’t always the fastest way through. My approach is rooted in non-directive play therapy, art, and sand tray—modalities that allow children, teens, and families to express themselves and process experiences beyond words. I balance creativity with evidence-based assessments and tools, trusting that healing happens when people are offered a safe space, a regulated presence, and genuine attunement.
Areas of Focus
• Non-directive play therapy with children as young as 18 months
• Family therapy and parent-child connection
• Parent coaching & “I Am” intensive sessions
• Trauma, anxiety, grief, and emotional regulation
• Sand tray therapy for individuals, parents, and families
• Clinical supervision, practicum placements & professional training for therapists
For Children & Teens
I work with children as young as 18 months and often with those who haven’t found success elsewhere or who have been told they are “too much.” Play therapy provides a natural language for young people to explore their feelings, process trauma, and build resilience. I trust in children’s innate ability to heal when supported by a safe environment and a caring adult presence.
For Parents & Families
I help parents and families uncover unconscious patterns, strengthen co-regulation, and repair disconnection. Through family play and sand tray sessions, parents and children explore together, creating space for insight, healing, and new ways of relating. I also provide parent coaching and “I Am” intensive sessions, which explore the deeper roots of parenting triggers and intergenerational patterns.
For Therapists: Supervision & Training
I am deeply committed to supporting other therapists in their own professional and personal growth. I offer individual supervision, practicum placements, and group supervision opportunities that balance reflection, clinical skill development, and personal integration—helping therapists strengthen both their practice and their presence. My group offerings include Deep Process (virtual) and Individual vs. Collective in SAND, unique supervision circles that access deeper layers of awareness for healing and growth. I also provide intensive play therapy training, offered in individual formats or immersive group weekends, creating space to dive deeply into the theory and practice of play-based work.
If you’re ready to explore how play therapy, parent coaching, or professional supervision might support you, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can create a safe space for healing, growth, and reconnection at a pace that feels right for you.
