Lynn Albrecht, MSW RSW
MEET LYNN…
I’m Lynn Albrecht, an Elder Care Specialist and therapist with over 24 years of experience supporting seniors, couples, and families. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals from diverse backgrounds as they navigated some of life’s most difficult transitions. I’ve learned that aging, caregiving, and family change are about far more than logistics—they often bring profound questions of identity, belonging, and meaning.
As both a senior myself and a therapist, I bring a unique blend of lived experience and professional expertise. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to face health changes, caregiving responsibilities, or the loss of a partner or role. My approach is grounded in compassion and clarity: creating a safe space for reflection while also helping clients sort through the very real, practical challenges of hospital systems, consent and capacity, POAs, and the often-confusing maze of community services. My goal is to help you make informed decisions that reflect the unique needs of your loved one, while also acknowledging and holding the emotional weight these decisions carry.
Areas I Can Help With
• Grief, loss, and loneliness
• Navigating health changes or new diagnoses
• Identity changes after retirement, illness, or loss
• Coping with transitions and major life decisions
• Anxiety and depression across the lifespan
• Building resilience and rediscovering meaning
• Exploring end-of-life concerns with compassion and dignity
For Elders
I support seniors in facing the realities of aging—whether that’s navigating illness, living with loneliness, or grappling with the loss of identity that can come after retirement, a diagnosis, or the death of a spouse or friend.
Together, we work toward restoring connection, resilience, and a renewed sense of self.
For Families & Caregivers
Caregiving can be both an act of deep love and an exhausting burden. Families often come to me feeling guilty, conflicted, or torn between competing responsibilities and sibling disagreements.
I help caregivers and families find clarity, reduce conflict, and create a plan forward that balances compassion for their loved one with care for themselves.
For Couples & Families
Beyond elder care, I also work with couples and families navigating transitions, conflict, or relational disconnection.
My work creates space for honest communication, healing old wounds, and rediscovering the empathy and trust needed for stronger, more authentic connections.
If you or your family are facing the challenges of aging, caregiving, or relationship struggles, you don’t have to walk this path alone. Let’s begin with a 15-minute meet-and-greet to talk through your concerns and explore how I can support you in moving forward with clarity and care.
