Ryleigh McDooling

 MEET RYLEIGH…

Hi, I’m Ryleigh. I’m a mom of two, a wife, and no stranger to the unpredictability and tenderness that life often brings. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology intern. I’m deeply passionate about creating a grounded, compassionate space for people navigating the complex, messy, and deeply human work of healing and self-exploration.

I believe therapy doesn’t require having it all figured out before you begin. In fact, not knowing where to start is often the most honest place to begin.

How I Work
My approach is relational, collaborative, and rooted in authenticity. I balance evidence-based interventions with warmth, humour, and real human connection. Therapy can sometimes feel awkward, vulnerable, or uncomfortable — and I welcome that. Healing doesn’t happen in perfection; it happens in presence.

I work with adolescents and adults navigating emotional distress, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and periods of overwhelm or disconnection. Whether someone arrives feeling clear about their goals or unsure of where to begin, I meet them where they are. Together, we explore patterns, build emotional regulation skills, and make sense of experiences in a way that feels supportive, respectful, and manageable.

My role is not to “fix,” but to walk alongside you as we create a space where curiosity, honesty, and growth can unfold at your own pace.

If you’re looking for a therapist who brings humanity, curiosity, and gentle humour into the room — while holding space for meaningful, evidence-informed work — I would be honoured to walk alongside you.

For Moms & Parents
Parenting is deeply meaningful — and incredibly hard. I offer a supportive space for parents, particularly those who often carry the most while receiving the least support. Together, we explore triggers, values, emotional patterns, and the impact of stress and overwhelm. My work with parents focuses on strengthening emotional awareness, regulation, and presence, so you can show up for yourself and your family with greater clarity, confidence, and compassion.

For Couples
Relationships evolve, and navigating change together can feel challenging and vulnerable. I support couples in addressing conflict, communication breakdowns, and shifting dynamics, with a focus on connection, boundaries, and understanding one another more deeply. Therapy offers a space to slow down, listen differently, and explore how to move forward together with intention and care.

For the Perinatal Client
The perinatal period is a time of profound transition, identity shifts, and emotional intensity. I provide steady, compassionate support throughout this season, helping clients explore attachment, changing roles, and the complexities of becoming — or expanding as — a parent. My goal is to create a judgment-free space where the full range of the perinatal experience can be explored honestly and safely.
